"Back Door" Credit Score

Kaiser and other medical providers have started encouraging people to get a credit card through them. I know that there was a time where medical bills usually weren't reported to the credit bureau, but if you got a loan to pay the debt off, its history was reported.

Is the influx of new credit cards for medical companies and such , a way to get that information on your credit reprot where it wouldn't have appeared in the past?

Probably. I am currently in a fight with UCLA Medical Center and my former insurance company over 13k. Medical bills are just heinous!

I don't like that trend, myself. I think it's just another way for "big brother" to know what's going on in your life. Your medical information isn't their business.

Look at it this way the medical company collects interest and has a better chance of insuring it will get money out of you.
