How does one pay for extra charges on credit card?

If one has a credit card and they can only afford to pay off the minimum each month thou there are still some charges that are placed on the card even if the minimum is paid,Is there a better way to pay for those extra charges put on each time even if one can only afford minimum?

I would pay more than minimum and cut corners on spending whenever you can.

Going along with what Nangel said...could you buy one less cup of coffee a month, rent one less movie, buy one less thing anywhere and apply that extra couple of dollers to your payment? I know 3 or 4 dollers doesn't sound like much but it can make a big difference! HTH

Basically, by running up the card you defeat the purpose of freeing up cash over the long term. Pay it down completely use it sparingly not as extra money as most people do.

No New Charges

If I get to the point on one of my credit cards where I can't pay the balance, I stick that card way in the back of my desk and don't touch it again until it is completely paid off. If you keep adding extra charges when you already can't pay the minimum, you'll end up maxed out...not a good place to be financially.

I don't spend what I know I won't pay off in two months.

Hey that's what I do! Well, I allow myself three months over the holidays because sometimes catching up in two is a bit much... some years it even goes into 4 months to pay it off, but never longer than that.

I would cut out needless spending. You can still do some but not as much to help with the bills.

What charges are being placed on the card? The best thing to do would be to find another way of covering those payments without having to charge them.
