Have you guys tried used book shops? Yard sales for kid and dog toys? Or buying a 6 pack of soda instead of a daily bottle? You are still spending money, but not as much as you might.

For me the budget breaker tends to be my hobby "skill set". That could change though. I can see myself spending quite a bit on getting my business going. Luckily I can incoporate some of my hobby needs within those purchases!

i think buying junk food and also expensive electronics just to trying to keep up with the times rather than tryingto save.

This is so true. And the more the store fills up with specialty convenience
foods and organic choices, the more expensive it gets. Since organic is so
healthy, maybe the price will go down when the novelty wears off.

It would be great if the expense of organic would go down when the novelty wears off, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it. I'm seriously thinking about a garden this year to help with cutting down the expense of groceries.
