Harry Potter fans?

Are there any other Harry Potter fans on this forum? I can't wait for the final book to come out, but I'm almost scared to read it. It would be dreadful to follow Harry's adventures through six books and then have him die at the end of the seventh...

I haven't read the sixth yet. I know that sounds crazy, but I hate picking up a book and finishing it then having to wait forever for the next. Besides with the the birth of my son I just havent had as much time to read. But I plan on making it one of my summer poolside books. I do love the series though.

I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies, but I might pick them up and read them this summer. I'm sure I'll be able to find copies of them at yard sales this summer, which is much better than paying full price for the hardcover.

me, me, count me and my daughter in too

Simply can not wait until the book comes out. I hope that the headmaster somehow comes back and it was just a trick.

I love the Books, I think the last 2 Movies weren't so good however, they are leaving too much out.

I haven't liked the movies much, though the third one was my favorite. For one thing, they've totally under-used Alan Rickman (Snape). Nothing about his history with Harry's father or the factors that turned him into such an unpleasant person....Snape's had such a bit part in the movies and he's turning into such a key character in the books...it'll be interesting to see how they handle the character in the next couple of movies.
