Almost made a HUGE mistake on my taxes - I went to HR Block. The lady at the desk was clueless. She basically showed me the computer screen I told her what to enter where. She didn;t speak English very well, which didn;t help the fact that she dodn't know what she was doing. Aty the end of the process she tried to charge me $250! I said forget it, took my stuff, and left. I went home and Efiled on irs.gov for free (my wife and I, filing seperately, each qualified for free filing.) Never again will I go to some tax-in-a-box place to get my money back from the government.
Of course, implementation of the Fair Tax would do away with all that entirely.
