I got a lot of freelance work and get paid by Paypal. It has helped me to see exactly how much I'm making. Every time I get a balance of $300 or over, I transfer $250 to my checking account--it's a free process that takes about 3-4 days.
I do the same thing when I hit about $300 in paypal. I've used it for many
years, but I still feel safer with most of it transferred to my bank account.
I don't keep $50 in there, though.. I usually keep like $8 in there to start
building again.
