I don't know about your living situation, but some utility companies have programs to lower the monthly bills for families in need. In the states, they also have public or subsidized housing, which can lower your monthly rent.

As to making a little extra money, just from what I've seen of you here, you seem like a good writer. Have you ever checked out doing online writing jobs? (Just make sure you find the good ones and not the scams. THEY should pay YOU, not the other way around. If they want you to pay them for training, or start up fees, or whatever, just surf on by!)

I also know people who are able to make some extra income selling items on eBay or another auction site.

Good luck! I'm sorry things are stretched so thin right now.
I can attest to this. I write for some online sites that do pay me and I do some other online things that pay me as well. There are a lot of scams, but there are also reputable things as well.
